HomeSweetHome

Why "BeHive"?  In keeping with the theme of BeYu, soooo BeHive i felt was the perfect name for this section of the blog where its all about the home/hive.

For me having a home im proud of makes me fell good and warm inside knowing after a long day i have my beautiful home to go home to and relax in a space i made that way. Having order in my home i feel also gives me structure and balance in my everyday life. The few times when things are not in their rightful places at home, i feel quite scatterheaded. Weird rite!!??

I am a lover of many types of interior decor which as much as id like to i cant have them all under one roof so instead ima a share them with you guys rite here!! How exciting!!! Im excited!!

Soooooo im going to start with........drum roll.........

                       MY "HomeSweetHome"

I love, love love interior design. Everything about it - colours( I love my bold colours), textures, lighting, furniture.

Lounge
I live in quite a colourful home. My lounge is a blend of black, yellow and teal very modern contemporary feel I think but does look a little unlived in - but that's just how I like it. I dislike clutter so minimal works great for me. Alll my furniture is black gloss

Bathroom
My bathroom on the other hand is bright and happy - its terracotta/orange tiled top to bottom and at night with my candles lit and soaking in the bath it's just such a relaxing space for me.

Bedroom
My bedroom is a dark room as I hate the whole being woken by the sun rays, I love my sleep n will get myself up when Im ready, lol, rays of sunlight need not assist! My bedroom is a mix of dark brown furniture and olive green decor and these colours teamed with the perfect dimmed light makes for a lovely romantic budoir. My lampshades in here are dropped lights which hang low over the side tables on either side of the bed.

Zen Room
My second bedroom I turned into a walk in closet and instead of doors on my cupboards I used white floor to ceiling curtains all round and put a white cozy rug on the floor. This room with all the curtains down and no clothes in sight is very serene and an ideal space for yoga, meditation and some ME time.

All the work done I've in my little home was done mostly with the help of friends and family, me being the brains and everyone else doing the labour, haha, DIY and I do not get on whatsoever!! I don't even bother trying n e more, lol!
